Linate is the close-in airport, about 8 km east of the centre and typically 15 to 20 minutes by car, which is why it is the first choice for business and fashion traffic. Malpensa is roughly 50 km north-west, 45 to 60 minutes by road, and is used when Linate is full or the aircraft is too large for it. Bergamo is a third option about an hour away. For Lake Como, allow an hour from Linate and around 90 minutes from Malpensa.
